Panda Express Plants Its Seed of Fortune in Vineland, NJ – Cumberland County

Updated: Oct 19, 2019

Vineland –

located in the heart of South Jersey will be the location of the next Panda Express restaurant. The new 2,200 square foot restaurant will have seating for 82, and outdoor dining area and drive thru. You’ll find it at 1169 West Landis Ave and minutes from area shopping malls and grocery stores.

Background –

For those of you not familiar with Panda Express, as I wasn’t either, it was founded thirty-five years ago in Glendale, California by Ming Tsai Cherng better known as Andrew Cherng and his wife Peggy Cherng; he was born in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, Republic of China and Peggy Cherng was born in Burma and raised in Hong Kong. The company is now headquartered in Rosemead, California. This fast casual restaurant recently celebrated a major milestone and now has over 2,000 locations worldwide!

Nearing completion –

The Panda Express is nearly completed and judging by the progress, we can expect a late to early Spring opening in 2019.

The Menu –

This latest location will feature American Asian cuisine which includes some of your favorites like beef broccoli and orange chicken; you’ll find some other options such as Shanghai angus steak, eggplant tofu as well as honey walnut shrimp. For side choices you’ll find the usual fried rice, mixed vegetables, steamed white or brown rice and chow mein.

They also feature a Wok Smart option. It’s the same great Chinese inspired taste but has at least 8 grams of protein and 300 calories or less per entre and include grilled teriyaki chicken, kung pao chicken and broccoli beef to name a few.

What about appetizers? Yep, they’ve got that covered too! Chicken potstickers, veggie spring rolls and crispy shrimp.

For those of you who might be wondering, no MSG is added to the food nor is any product purchased from any supplier that processes using MSG.

Sounds awesome… right?

Giving back to the community –

Panda is not only committed to its customers but in its community as well. In 1999 they established “Panda Cares” a philanthropic part of Panda Restaurant Group. The foundation provides food, funding and volunteer services for disaster relief efforts as well as providing for underserved children. Donations raised have been beneficial to organizations such as Children’s Miracle Network Hospital who have received $37 million. They also support college access and readiness programs; other donations were made in excess of $3.5 million for disaster relief due to Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. Panda Cares has also distributed at least 1.3 million meals to underserved children and their families.

We love American Asian food and have our favorites in town but we’ll definitely want to try this place out as soon as it opens!

As they say in their video… When a good thing is shared it multiplies and when fortune smiles upon you, smile back.
